03008

A favorite. A full sibling to 03010 and 03017. This one is very eye catching for several reasons. First, it's color (a hard to describe bright yellow-cream-peach base color and a dark, bold maroon eye) demands your attention from across the garden. Second, it's number of blooms open at a time. It often has 2 or more blooms open each day. And third, it's towering height. It stands around 36+ inches tall. This plant has good branching and decent bud count. The down side to this plant is that it gets a little too tall for it's own good and needs to be staked, and it refuses to set seeds. It will appear to have set a pod, but it will terminate it within 2 weeks. It's pollen however is fertile and I have harvested seeds using it's pollen. I'm very anxious to see what this plant can do.
